This is especially important in our household because our daughter Addison experiences a wide range of emotions on a regular basis. Though she’s the loudest in our house and a constant chatterbox, Addison is also incredibly sensitive. I’ll be honest—I struggle with reacting before I think, and I’ve noticed my kids have picked up on that habit too. But the fact that I can acknowledge it gives me hope—for their future and my own. After all, the first step to solving any problem is recognizing that it exists.
